Description

There were only ever two coal mines in Northern Ireland - Ballycastle and Coalisland. Ballycastle shut down in the late 1960s, David Capper reports on the closing of the Coalisland pit in 1970.

This clip was the first colour filmto be processed in BBC Belfast and transmitted in full colour to viewers in Northern Ireland.
