Description

On Saturday 22nd February 2020, documentary film maker Brian Henry Martin (whose father worked in the shipyard) hosted this Q&A with two ex-shipyard workers Frank Higgins and Rodney McCullough. 76 people including other ex-shipyard workers and their families were in the audience. They agreed that it was wonderful to see Bill Kirk’s photographs and David Hammond’s film Steel Chest, Nail in the Boot and the Barking Dog on the big screen in the Strand Cinema and how important it is now to capture these stories of the shipyards from that generation.
