Description

A short film on the fishing industry in Kilkeel in Co Down, covering many of the aspects of life as a fisherman. Against the backdrop of the Mournes we see boats heading out from the harbour and shots within the cabin as well as night footage of nets being lowered and then brought back on with the catch. However, there is also a focus on the wider aspects of the trade with fishermen being given classes in nautical navigation, morse code and even first aid, as well as fixing and tending to nets.
