Presented and written by Brian Boyd, A Heritage From Stone series trace the earliest human settlements in Ulster and development of architecture over centuries up to the 20th century. Throughout the series, Brian Boyd visits numerous heritage sites, local architectural gems and archaeological sites and explores links between ongoing socio-political as well as economic changes and the landscape. 

Passionate about the subject, Brian Boyd suggests that with proper planning countryside can be protected and preserved, man-made environment works for all and excellent buildings can be protected and saved for future. Already a lot of great heritage buildings have been lost through neglect and profit driven developments. It is therefore essential to support those initiatives in architectural conservation which seek to protect the architectural heritage of worth for future generations.
