Dr R.F.C. (Frank) McDowell was a medical doctor who specialised in Radiology and in his spare time was an accomplished photographer and filmmaker with a keen eye for recording family and local life. He used small gauge cine film to record family life, local industry and infrastructure projects. Created over decades, the McDowell collection provides rich glimpses of family life, as well as showcasing local industry and infrastructure projects and trips across Northern Ireland.
