The Moneydarragh Youth Hub's remarkable collection

Moneydarragh Hub is a rural community space nestled in the Mourne Mountains near Annalong, providing outreach, activities and creative opportunities for both locals and visitors.

The hub has become a focal point for youth engagement, running programmes that encourage young people aged 8–18 to explore their creativity through arts and filmmaking workshops. Participants have produced animations and short films inspired by their interests and the striking local landscape, fostering a sense of pride in their surroundings.

Most recently, a youth group aged 8–14 came together over Halloween Half Term to collaborate on archive and film projects, strengthening their storytelling skills while working as a team. Through initiatives like these, Moneydarragh Hub continues to enrich the cultural and social fabric of the community, offering a space for learning, creativity and connection.
