Open Arts

Hear the story of Open Arts

Open Arts engages with disabled people of all ages in delivering high quality activities and events across a range of art forms. They strive for disabled people to be seen and celebrated as creative and artistic individuals. In addition to facilitating disabled people to express themselves creatively, they also produce high quality opportunities to showcase their talents through exhibitions, collaborations and live performances and support our participants to access funding to create their own work.

The mission of Open Arts is to inspire and support the creativity and artistic development of disabled people. 50% of board members and 3 out of 4 staff members have a disability.

Their weekly programme involving drama, dance, music, writing and visual arts includes projects such as the Open Arts Community Choir, Gamelan Music, Monday Players Drama, Luminous Soul Dance and more.
