Yallaa
A collection of films from Yallaa
Yallaa is a social enterprise based in Northern Ireland, dedicated to celebrating and sharing Arab culture while fostering inclusivity and cultural exchange. Founded by a woman with a deep love for her heritage, Yallaa has grown into a vital hub for Arab arts, traditions, and community engagement.
As the Arab community in Northern Ireland expanded, so did the need for a space that could bring people together, empower Arab voices, and introduce wider audiences to the richness of Arab culture. Yallaa fulfils this role through a range of initiatives, including cultural training, cookery workshops and community events that highlight the diversity and vibrancy of Arab heritage. The organisation is particularly committed to supporting refugees and asylum seekers, ensuring they feel a sense of belonging and representation.
Yallaa’s impact has been widely recognised, earning accolades such as Social Enterprise NI’s Highly Recommended Leader of the Year and Team of the Year awards, as well as the EMEEN Inspirational Entrepreneur Award. Through its work, Yallaa continues to bridge cultural divides, promote understanding and create lasting change in Northern Ireland’s social and cultural landscape.
