Description

Celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Belfast Savings Bank on Arthur Street. Lord Mayor Jenkins is present and we have film of the inside workings of the building.

Notes

The Belfast Savings Bank opened on the site of the House of Industry in Smithfield in 1816. It would merge with other banks to become part of the Allied Irish Bank in 1966.
