Another fascinating reel from the collection of Rev Harold Allen of Ballyclare. This short film takes us to what might be an Ulster Grand Prix race in the 1930s. The year is likely 1937, due to the reel containing footage of the 1937 Royal Visit. The camera operator focuses on driver number 57, who we assume is from Northern Ireland. He signs autographs, poses for photographs and shares a candid moment with his partner at the end of the reel.
This film was likely filmed by Reverend Allen's uncle, Tom Clawson. Unfortunately, we don't have any information about this film, however if you know anything that might help, do get in touch! We are interested in people's identities, location and any further information that you may have.
