Description

A young man is presented with his Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at Academy Street in Belfast.  

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award was founded by Prince Philip in 1957 as a scheme to provide training to youth aged 15-18. Initially only for boys, it was widened to include all young people aged 15-24.
