Description

Parisian trapeze artist Mme Ella Stey leaves hospital following a fall during her act. Mme Stey performed as part of Fossett’s Circus and although she fell 30 feet, she was fortunate enough to only sustain a broken leg. This film shows the inside of the big tent. In true showbusiness style, after the accident, the show did go on.

Fossett's Circus was founded in 1852 by the Fossett family. It is still in existence today.
