Description

A 1912 Silver Ghost Rolls Royce has arrived back in Lisburn after being in the USA since 1913. Maurice Smyth shows us around this beautiful car and meets the present owner, Mr JD Barbour. Mr Barbour explains the history of the car. He’s going to use it as a “runabout” car, as you do.

Notes

The Barbour family arrived in Ireland in the late 18th century and founded a thread factory at Hilden, Lisburn. The Barbour linen thread became the best-selling linen thread in the world.
