Description

Compilation programme comprised of amateur film of the Coronation in 1953 and the subsequent three-day visit of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

Shots consist mainly of Lisburn - but also includes Aldergrove arrival with Northern Ireland Cabinet and Prime Minister, Bangor, Hillsborough, Balmoral showgrounds, Portadown and the Royal Train to Lisahally and transfer by cruiser to Londonderry. This item is comprised of a selection of four amateur films edited together and accompanied by sound and commentary recorded at the BBC.
