Description

This short film documents a clay pottery workshop attended by the women of Anaka in Belfast’s Conway Mill. The group learned how to make various forms of pottery under the instruction of Ruth ___. Shot by Mahsa Jahangirpour, this film demonstrates some of the pottery work, as well as the bright and airy workspace of the Conway Mill.

Anaka is a women's collective based in North Belfast that seeks to empower and provide support to migrant women in Belfast. Through community-building activities and educational programmes, Anaka fosters an inclusive environment where women from diverse backgrounds can share experiences, build skills, and advocate for their rights.
