Footage showing the moving of an old tram to the Transport Museum, which was then located in Witham Street in east Belfast. The tram is the famous one from Fintona Junction which connected the town of Fintona to the railway for decades.
The particularly fine example of a double decker horse drawn tram looks incongruous loaded on the back of a lorry and driven over the flyovers of a motorway in a clash between the transport of Nineteenth and Twentieth centuries. There are also shots within the museum as workers prepare the place for the attraction. The museum itself, given the go-ahead in 1960, was officially opened in June 1962.
