Newsreel of a British Home Championship match in which the home side, Ireland, are stunned as Scotland turn on the style at Windsor Park.
Ireland’s final game in the 1928-29 Championship would prove a miserable end to a thoroughly dispiriting campaign. They were soundly beaten by a rampant Scotland, with prolific striker, Hughie Gallacher, inspiring the visitors. The 7-3 defeat ensured Ireland finished bottom of the table, whilst the triumphant Scots would go on to defeat England 1-0 in the final group match and claim the title.
