Description

As Ulster Television hit the airwaves on 31 October 1959, the dignitaries who had assembled for the launch took part in a celebratory lunch at Belfast’s Grand Central Hotel. Seen speaking here at the event are Northern Ireland Prime Minister Lord Brookborough, the Lord Mayor of Belfast Robin Kinahan and the Chairman of Ulster Television, Lord Antrim.
