Description

Between 1947 and 2004 Berkshire Hosiery operated a nylon stocking factory on the Donaghadee Road in Newtownards, Co Down. This fascinating film takes us behind the scenes of the entire production process from the raw nylon stockings produced on the machines, through stitching, ironing and even being stretched and tested over model legs.
