William Crawley travels to New Zealand's North and South Islands to explore the country's rich connections with Northern Ireland, and to reveal the remarkable stories of the Ulstermen and women - past and present - who have helped build such a powerful relationship. The episode follows Thomas Braken, an Irishman who wrote the lyrics to the New Zealand National Anthem and then served as a Liberal MP. Then he looks at John Balance, a County Antrim man who was New Zealand's 16th Prime Minister and head of the first Liberal Government. William Massey - another Irishman who became yet another Kiwi PM.
