Description

July 1985, and Brian Reid, from Dromore in Co Down, stands on the brink of becoming Formula 2 TT world champion with just one more race to go in the championship. Taking time out from practise at Kirkistown, he speaks to UTV's Jackie Fullerton and discusses the permutations required for the world title from the final race.

He talks about how the season got off to a bad start before he got back on track. He hopes that winning the Formula 2 title might attract interest from a works team at Formula 1 where he would be up against the local world champion, Joey Dunlop.
