Description

The dual carriageway from Bangor to Belfast, skirting the edge of Holywood along the way, is an essential part of the daily commute for many inhabitants of north Co Down. This silent footage shows its construction back in 1961 as government thinking began to strategise the need for improved road networks throughout Northern Ireland.
