Bullet-throwing, or road bowls, is

  , the Irish Road Bowling Association, two competitors throw the solid steel ball or ‘bullet’ along a 
  three mile
   course o
  f open road. The winner is the one who takes the least throws. Previously prevalent all over Ireland, the sport is now found only in Armagh and Cork.
