Description

Cardinal Conway of the Catholic Church on the degree on ecumenism that has come from the Vatican. Maurice Smyth asks how the degree will be applied in Ireland. This degree was part of the Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican, commonly known as the Second Vatican Council, or Vatican II which addressed relations between the Catholic Church and the modern world.

William John Cardinal Conway (22 January 1913 – 17 April 1977) was an Irish cardinal of the Catholic Church who served as Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland from 1963 until his death and was elevated to the cardinalate in 1965.
