A docu-drama based on the tragic story of Charles O Byrne, a cumbersome, eight feet tall Irish man and the most famous in a line of Irish giants to parade themselves in front of English society in the 1700s.
Born in County Tyrone, Byrne travelled to London in his late teens where he became one of the city’s foremost attractions despite his ailing health. Against his dying wishes his body was seized by the anatomist John Hunter and his enormous skeleton remains on display in the Hunterian Museum.

Dráma faisnéise atá bunaithe ar scéal tragóideach Charles O Byrne - Éireannach fir a bhí ocht dtroithe ar airde agus é ar an fhathach ba chlúití de na fathaigh as Éirinn a chuir iad féin chun tosaigh i sochaí Shasana sna 1700í.
Is i gContae Thír Eoghain a rugadh é, go ndeachaigh anonn go Londain agus é amach sna déaga. Is ann a bhain sé clú amach mar cheann de na héachtaí ba mhó a raibh tóir orthu sa chathair bíodh is go raibh ag teip ar shláinte. In ainneoin ar iarr sé agus é ar leaba a bháis, ghlac an t-anatamaí John Hunter seilbh ar a chorp agus tá a chnámharlach ábhalmhór ar taispeáint go fóill in Iarsmalann Hunterian.
