In this episode of Check it Out, Jacqui Berkeley and Ronan Kelly explore topics including osmotherapy, which washing-up liquid performs best?, disappearing playgrounds, make-up and cut-throat shaves.

Osmotherapy is a new product that has been developed as a treatment for stress. It uses the power of scent, in particular the scent of a new mother's skin! To test if it really works, Sam Butler (business owner), Hugh Foy (French teacher) and Jacqui try it out.

Next it's the "great plate debate", with Eamonn Holmes testing some of the public's favourite washing up liquids, to find out which one is the best value for money. 

The case of Emma Costello, a child who lost her life after a playground accident, is still on the minds of many. In the wake of the tragedy, many playgrounds owned by the Housing Executive have been dismantled, a lack of funds meaning they could not be maintain in line with agreed safety standards. David Moorman, resident of Newpark Estate, Antrim, speaks about his concerns that, following the closures, children may start playing in more dangerous places, such as near roads. 

Lastly, a feature on facial aesthetics, with Andrea Catherwood being given an autumn look by Aisling Eyre, make-up artist, and Ronan being given a traditional cut-throat shave at The Barber Shop, Ballymena.
