Description

With Ulster GAA champions Tyrone having defeated Galway in the All-Ireland semi-final, they now went forward to contest the Sam Maguire trophy for the very first time. At the time it was something of a tradition for football teams reaching the FA Cup Final or heading to the World Cup to release a pop single. Unusually, Tyrone applied this trend to the world of GAA with their own bouncy piece of music.

Adrian Logan visited the county to ask them about their musical efforts and of their chances in the forthcoming final. A bunch of the players are even greeted like pop stars when they visit their old primary school in Coalisland. Just a year after the town's famous son, Dennis Taylor, became world snooker champion, Coalisland was basking in a golden period of sporting success.
