Description

This garden party was thrown by the Northern Ireland government to a group of 28 guests from various countries of the British Commonwealth. Taking place at Government House in Hillsborough, the guests would then travel onto Portrush the following day before walking the Derry Walls. Representatives included visitors from Australia, Uganda, Pakistan and Canada, while Northern Ireland Prime Minister Terence O'Neill and his wife were present to welcome them.
