Presenter Brian Black explores the issue of disposing of dead animals correctly, and how if this is not followed it may have serious consequences to the environment and our health.
Alan Burke (Environmental Health Officer) speaks about his alarm at the the amount of dead animals which are dumped. However, even farmers such as Bertie Watt, who are trying to dispose of animals safely and keep disease away from their and their neighbours farms are finding it difficult to do so. Vernon Smyth (Ulster Farmers Union) discusses how there isn't an economic answer to the problem yet whilst John Joe Bradley (N.I. Agriculture Producers Association) is worried about the safety of our water if we don't find a solution soon.
Another issue raised by the programme is the selling of fallen animals to consumers by "cowboys", Jacqui Berkeley speaks to Melvyn Kinloch (Stewarts Supermarkets) about how they are making sure meat is coming from a verified source.
