Brian Black interviews Charles Brett about the Ireland Fund.
With questions raised from applicants earlier in the programme, Brett states that he is "certainly prepared to meet them". However, he does suggest that there hasn't been any requests for a meeting and due to the thousands of applicants the fund has, he is not "terribly keen" to meet them all, though does highlight that "there are circumstances in this case which would make it sensible".
Another issue tackled, is the potential problem of money from the fund being channeled into paramilitary groups. In response, Brett states that it is a "problem that, we in the fund are unequipped to deal with" and that they would rely on both the North and South governments to guide them if they have grounds to believe money is going astray.
