Description

The fourth instalment of Cracking Country 615 starts in downtown Nashville, Riverfront Park, on the banks of the Cumberland River. This is where Tom Ryman, known for Ryman Auditorium, created his steamboat empire as a riverboat captain and a riverboat company owner (his Nashville-based fleet consisted of more than 30 boats). Allan and Sharon stop for lunch at Garth Brook’s favourite restaurant in Nashville, Pancake Pantry, and chat to Jeff Green of CMA International about Country Music Association Awards and other activities supporting and developing country music scene not only in the US.

In the second part of the programme, Allan interviews one of his all-time favourites, Clint Black who talks about his new album and his ’95 European tour, directing music videos as well as personal life. Back in Northern Ireland, Sharon meets Carole Murray of Apache Clothing in Belfast and Collette and Sheena of Colleena Designs to explore country and western influence on style and fashion in Northern Ireland.

The programme also includes a line-up of popular country music videos by Lyle Lovett & Al Green, Pam Tillis and Garth Brook and a country music news segment with Lisa Foster at WSM 650.
