A special lunch is held for the Dairy Princesses of 1964. The exact location of the meal is unknown but Lord Raymond O'Neill is noted as being among the guests. He would be a judge at the event held that night to select a new overall Dairy Queen for Northern Ireland. The contenders were drawn one from each county in Northern Ireland as the princesses with a seventh princess from Belfast.
The seven princesses that year were Margaret McCosh of Islandmagee (Antrim), Jean Nicholson of Drumadd (Armagh), Hazel McDowell of Castlereagh (Belfast), Anna Donnan of Dundonald (Down), Ann Crawford of Lisbellaw (Fermanagh), Elizabeth Linton of Coleraine (Derry/Londonderry) and Gladys Kirkpatrick of Augher (Tyrone). Previous winner Marie McGauley was present at the lunch as well, enjoying her final few hours in the role.
At the event that night in the Plaza Ballroom, Anna Donnan became the new Dairy Queen.
