Description

Following threats of assassination against government ministers, armed guards have been put on the homes of Terence O’Neill, Brian McConnell and William Craig, all of which we see here. Eddie McAteer of the Nationalist party comments on the story, as does Tom Boyd of the Labour Party.

In a studio interview with Jimmy Robinson, Brian McConnell will not reveal the source of the threats but is clearly laying the blame at the door of Sinn Féin and the possible re-emergence of the IRA.

This is a significant moment in Northern Ireland history.
