Description

Interview with Mr Richard Perceval, Director of the National Council of Alcoholism and an early proponent of AA in both Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland. Mr Perceval states the case for re-defining alcoholism as an illness and not a sign of weakness.

Notes

Richard Perceval was a native of Northern Ireland who moved to England. He himself was an alcoholic but overcame his illness to become a proponent of treating alcoholism as an illness and the AA.
