Derry City celebrate winning the Irish Cup in 1964. This was only the third time the team had won the main knockout competition in Northern Irish football following successes in 1949 and 1954. This time, however, victory also presented a chance to play in European competition the following season for the first time.
We see the directors of the club with the trophy and also the returning players on a coach trying to (very slowly) make their way through the celebrating fans.
This was a golden period for the club. They had also won the Gold Cup in the same season and the following year would be crowned league champions for the first and only time in the Irish League.
