Description

This UTV report combines silent shots around the town of Antrim, including historic monuments, with an interview conducted with William Craig, who was then the Minister for Transport in the Northern Ireland government. He is asked why Antrim has been selected as a major development area with town planners setting out the hopes for how the area will develop into the 1980s. He explains the thinking of trying to move new sites of industry outside of Belfast, which was struggling in terms of its capacity to absorb new ventures.
