Description

John Erskine, The Lord Erskine of Rerrick, was the fourth of Northern Ireland’s five Governors, taking over from Lord Wakehurst in 1964. Public engagements took up a lot of time in this mainly ceremonial role and the Governor was recorded by UTV at a number of such events through the years. This film saw Erskine spending the day in Armagh where he opened a new wing of the Technical College as well as a new Intermediate School, before going onto the County Museum.
