Description

John Erskine, The Lord Erskine of Rerrick, was the fourth of Northern Ireland’s five Governors, taking over from Lord Wakehurst in 1964. Public engagements took up a lot of time in this mainly ceremonial role and the Governor was recorded by UTV at a number of such events through the years. This film shows him visiting the RUC training depot in Enniskillen where he watched a march by one hundred new recruits.
