John Erskine, The Lord Erskine of Rerrick, was the fourth of Northern Ireland’s five Governors, taking over from Lord Wakehurst in 1964. Public engagements took up a lot of time in this mainly ceremonial role and the Governor was recorded by UTV at a number of such events through the years. In this case, the cameras did not have too far to go as Lord and Lady Erskine visited Havelock House, the home of Ulster Television, for a tour of the studios. UTV presenters such as Tommy James, Charlie Witherspoon, Lesley Dawes, Adrienne McGuill and many others can be seen as part of the tour.
