Description

Presented from Parkgate in County Antrim, in this episode of Home Sweet Home Lynda Bryans and Michael Nesbitt visit a number of varied destinations such as the North Coast, the Mournes and instead of going all the way to New York, they let New York come to them in the form of wooden beams. The couple also looks into the importance of first impressions when looking to sell a property.

The first stop takes us to the North Coast to a caravan park near the Royal Portrush Golf Course. Here they meet Jim and Betty Henry, residents of a mobile home here, who talk about holidays abroad in the past and why they prefer their caravan living. Lynda and Michael also meet Julie and Kenny Miller, newcomers to the caravan park, who discuss the pros and cons of caravan lifestyle.

Following the McCrickard family and their dream home project, Lynda and Michael return to the Mournes to check on their progress. Nesbitt interviews Gabrielle who is supervising the project as well as Davie Brennan, the builder who about to finish his part of the job on the house.

One of the last stops in this episode brings us to Paul McCann from Tyrone. Paul had a great idea of shipping over 100 tons of skipped hundred years old wood to Northern Ireland where it would be treated and repurposed in people’s homes as furniture, ceiling beams and similar. Paul also shows the work he specialized in in the US - stencilling wooden floors. Lastly, Billy Dixon, an image consultant, advises on how to dress and act to seem relaxed in order to sell your property and what not to do to prevent scaring potential buyers away.
