Charlie Witherspoon reports from Ballycastle on the popularity of folk singing and the latest addition to the Lammas Fair – the Hootenanny. He talks to James O’Kane, the Town Clerk on the idea behind the festival and Mr Bradley, who organised the event itself. Mrs McGluckin came the whole way from Rathlin where she is the District Nurse. We get to hear some beautiful performances. Charlie is shocked by the price of Yellowman but he’s too smart to eat it on screen.
