Description

Gordon Burns introduced the big sporting news on UTV that Belfast man Gerry Hassett was to fight for a British light heavyweight title at the Ulster Hall. Gordon then interviewed the happy local boxer to get his thoughts on the exciting prospect.

Unfortunately for Hassett, the title fight never materialised when the man he was due to fight, 'Young' John McCormack, lost his intervening title defence. Hassett would then suffer further anguish when he lost an Irish Crusierweight title fight in April at the Ulster Hall.
