Description

The Irish PGA Championships at Knock. No such thing as bad weather? Playing golf in the pouring rain can’t be much fun – Philomena Garvey shelters under an umbrella but play goes on. 

Notes

Philomena Garvey was an Irish amateur and professional golfer of considerable success. On 27 June 1957, she won the British Ladies Amateur at Gleneagles and was finalist on four other occasions. She was also a member of the GB and Ireland Curtis Team.
