Description

A Spectrum documentary on Northern irish actor and director James Ellis. Ellis discusses his time in the theatre in Northern Ireland, his staging of Sam Thompson's

Over The Bridge, and his later career in London.

Notes

Ellis was originally a theatre actor who found success on television with Z Cars. His decision to stage Thompson's play against the wishes of his backers was a hugely important one for Northern Irish theatre.
