From Jenny Bristow's own home, explore recipes from many different cultures and "the best produce from around the world". These dishes have been chosen for their versatility and they are in tune with our modern day way of life.
This episode is all about Portuguese food, and first up is a hake and potatoes dish which is what "cod and chips is to us". However, hake is even easier than cod to cook, you just take the fillets, cut them into pieces and leave to the side while making the sauce. The flavour from the sauce is full of Mediterranean echoes, with plenty of herbs, garlic and olive oil - add a few chopped tomatoes and courgette and you're good to go!
Another favourite featured is the much loved crab cake, but don't worry if you don't like to handle crabs, now you can buy them already cooked or even just the claw!
