In this episode Kelly meets Barbara Windsor, known for her roles in Carry On films and later in EastEnders soap opera, a comedian Norman Collier best known for his ‘faulty microphone’ routine and his chicken impressions, Welsh diva Iris Williams, actor George Sewell and a pantomime star Jimmy Cricket.
Also joining in the studio are the members of Mohawk Loyal Orange Lodge no. 99, formed by Native-American Indians, who live on the Mohawk Reservation at Desoronto, Ontario and will be joining the upcoming 12th of July processions in Belfast. Staying on the topic of the Orange Order, Joe McPartland performs Crawford Howard’s the Arab Orange Lodge which tells the tale of Protestants who were banned from walking on the Twelfth and went instead to the Middle East. Musical guests performing in this programme are Runrig, Iris Williams with Ivan Black on piano and Martin McAllister on guitar, Florida Bill and the resident duo Bacaan.
