Description

UTV reporter Charlie Witherspoon visits Killymoon Castle near Cookstown. He tells us of the history of the castle, how it was redesigned by the famous architect John Nash (who was responsible for Marble Arch, Buckingham Palace and Regent Street in London) and how it was at one point was lost in gambling with the Prince Regent. There is also an interview with a local auctioneer, Joe Allen, who tells the story of how the family who now owned it came to buy it for just £100 in 1923.
