Joe visits the town of Kingscourt in County Cavan. Matt
Donagh takes him for a walk through a forest where they find some remains of
the original village of Cabra which existed before the town of Kingscourt was
founded in the Seventeenth Century. They also visit a wishing well made famous
by being mentioned in the song Doonaree.
He then meets with
local artist Jean Smith as she paints the scene at Cromwell's Bridge. Her son,
Niall Smith, is an architect and he shows Joe the bell of the local church
which has been situated outside the
church for 140 years but which they now hope to build a bell tower for. Joe then
visits the home of Martin Bolger and looks over his collection of 20,000 toy
cars. The programme ends with shots of the now completed bell tower.
