At Liddell's Mill, in Donaghcloney near Lurgan, swans fish at the mill pond while bobbins are being wound and the linen looms are in full flow. The card cutters create the intricate pattens for the linen which is then measured out.
Liddell’s Mill was founded in1866 and the village of Donaghacloney grew up around it. The mill closed in the 1980s, having supplied beautiful linen worldwide including on the Titanic and in the Ritz Hotel. The Liddell brand is still in existence but the mill now stands empty.
An Ulster Television Production.
