A short silent news report from the Conway Hotel in Dunmurry where a presentation was being made from the Lighthouse Club. This was a charity dedicated to the wellbeing of construction workers and their families. There was fundraising on the night from hundreds of guests gathered for dinner and, according to a press report, the money raised was appropriately put into a cement mixer. We have no information on what the fetching lighthouse presentation award was for or who received it but it’s great to see it sitting on the dinner table with an actual working light in it.
